Well.... We have waited since December 15th for this coming Saturday! Opening day of the Maryland Spring Trophy Striper season. From the looks of things its going to be another banner year. The water temps are in the high 40's and the big fish are here.
The flats are on fire with catches being made on big BA's. The new 12 " BA works great!! The mid bay has been producing a good amount of large fish up to 49". The usual has been producing, Umbrella Rigs and Tandem Rigs. Chartruese seems to be the color. We run all chartruese on the starboard side and all white on the port. The colors are umbrellas, tandems and maybe a daisy chain, This year the new Crippled Tails are in the mix!!
Dont forget to stock up on your shad bodies and parachutes, umbrellas and tandems. The shad sale will end at 12 midnight friday. We also reduced the parachute prices, so stock up now! We added some spoon rigs, teaser tails ( these are something to see and there is a new way to fish them- look in "spoons and spoon umbrellas) Well we are ready to go- the reels are all spoooled, tackle is ready!!!
